Blessing #5: Understanding friend

*Have you ever experienced making a mistake to somebody and that person forgave you? You know that he/she was upset that you did the mistake but he/she said 't's alright' anyway? Well, I just had that yesterday... It was probably the worst date ever. But sometimes I can really see that God alone forgives me in such a situation. He must be upset too, but His grace knows no bound.

Sometimes this reminds me of Jesus' experience... He must be upset being betrayed, and denied, and mocked, and ridiculed, and left behind by followers.. but on top of all these, He still said 'Father, forgive them for they know not what they have done'*

Blessing #4: Spring Break

So, this week will be the half-mark of my Sophomore year second term. I thank God that everything has gone pretty smoothly so far.

and...

*Spring break is coming. That means... I will have fun... Kenneth, Albert, Andre, Anita and probably a few other new friends are people I will meet up with next week!! Yay.. and I will have more rest too. And from this week onwards, the temperature will go up (above 10 deg C) so, I am planning to get back to my running schedule like last year. :)*

This Fri I will be having an exam and an interview. Keep me in prayer, ok?/ :)

Blessing #3: Facilities

*Being in MIT, I have all access to internet 24/7 free. There are hundreds of computers all around the campus and even printing here is free. This is normally just something I take for granted, but I realized that not many schools give this kind of privlege and let alone those poor countries which are struggling even with having their first few computers and internet access.

Hence, use these facilities properly :)*

Blessing #2: SLEEP

*I am thankful that I can sleep pretty easily and wake up pretty easily and that my sleeping schedule is always flexible depending on my busyness. I am happy to have a very cosy room for me to rest :) It definitely rejuvenates me physically every day*

Blessing #1: FREEDOM (and being in the US)

This is the start of my "blessing" series. I will try to recall all my past blessings too, hopefully in this way I can bless others as God has blessed me :)

*I thank God that I am here in MIT, Boston. Many times I pondered upon how different my life would be if I were to stay in Singapore or Indonesia right now. I will have different friends, different ways of thinking about life, different experiences altogether. I thank God that despite the cultural difference, I managed to adapt pretty well here and have been enjoying my life. I thank God for this because it helped me treasure something that many people always take for granted, that is, FREEDOM. I should sadly admit that sometimes I misuse the freedom I have as a child of God. There were times that I not only didn't value freedom, I also used it for something totally meaningless.*

Spring is coming...

The past two months have been filled with a lot of rain. Actually I kinda like it that it rained a lot because it reminds me of home... Indonesia being a tropical country has more monsoon rain than here in Boston.

One major spiritual leap i just had was: I kissed YouTube goodbye... It was a struggle that I have been having for three years... and I am glad I made the decision. Thanks to Serene and Claudia and a few other church people with their prayers and encouragement.

An update about my summer: I don't know what I am gonna do yet. Pray pray pray for me... I really hope I will do sth useful. I also haven't decided if I should go home... because next year will be my graduation year alr.

Midterms went alright for me. This term is definitely much better than last term. At least I am feeling more confident with whatever I am learning in class.

Spring break is coming in two weeks' time, I will stay in Boston. Bert and Kenneth are visiting. And I will catch up with my rest! :)

Small groups are going very well... and I really thank God for my being here...

off I go... :)
