Blessing #10: Contentment
*I just received my offer letter for internship with the US department of energy. The salary is not as high as what I had for last year's internship, yet it's not that low either. I think at this time, God has opened my heart to be more receptive upon His will with willingness. I am thankful that this whole process of getting internship has been progressing.... and is still moving on. It's just a proof that He has been faithful all this while.*
No confirmation yet regarding my summer plan though. :)

Blessing #9: Small group = church
* Thank God for my small group. Just like being in Highrock and feeling as if I am part of a family, I feel the same way too with my small group. Everyone is so loving and genuine. Come to think about it, small group or bible study can just be another CHURCH. Remember that church is not about the building, it's more about the fact that two or more people are gathered in God's presence. I thank God for the two small groups I have this term.*

"Admiring God's creation is never a simple and easy thing. Take for instance, try to look around you, what do you see... buildings, trashes, people walking mindlessly, the normal busyness of life you always see every day... But SPRING is created by God so that we can be reminded that God is still around, that things that seem bleak can still be changed and renewed. Flowers started to blossom at the beginning of this week... the temperature is getting much milder. Sun rises very early in the morning (I woke up at 5.30 am today and I could see the sunshine was coming up a bit by a bit at 6 am.
Thank God for His creation, THE EARTH."
I just had my inorganic chemistry... I think I didn't do pretty well in this... I just hope that I can get at least the average mark... I hate it when I have the case where I know how to do the exam but it just happened that my mind just blanked out then or that I didn't manage my time properly... Oh, well...
Church retreat is coming, so I won't be online until Sun :)

*Some people find it hard to be carefree, happy about their life. Worry and care instead overwhelm their lives. I would admit that my life is not totally without any worry at all... but at least I know Whom I can always depend on. I believe in one and true God who can fulfill that longing for true happiness in my life. He would make it complete one day, and I always look forward to that day in my mind, moving forward every day rather than merely contemplating on the bleak past moments that already happened*
So, thank God that even in this life, I can experience what is meant by HAPPINESS :)*
So, I couldn't sleep well last night... Someone was making a lot of noise outside, and I was being totally restless.. and, i think, nervous. So, there I was not sleeping for at least 2.5 hours. Nervous?? yes... today, ... in fact... within the next 90 minutes, I will be standing in front of a few tens of people giving a presentation in the AIChE (American Institute for Chemical Engineers) conference. I am prepared. But I think anxiety is just a natural feeling. I will update you on the result later on... If you are curious about what I am presenting, shoot me an email. The title of the paper is 'NMR-Mass Spectra'.
The next two weeks are going to be very intense academically for me. So, please pray for me. This week that just passed was a very good week.
So, God has been giving me a chance to go to WA for summer internship at the Department of Energy. How cool is that... and... while I was really anticipating a not-so-good grade for my last exam on Chemical Kinetics and Reactor Design, and trying to tell myself to be happy anyway because of the internship news, I still got an 'A' for that exam, :) God indeed made me really happy :) And I will start learning how to sail this term... it's going to be really fun :)

Blessing #6: God's faithfulness and never-changing nature
The coolest thing about being in MIT is that...
It's very common to encounter people who have made a difference to the world at some points in their life. Last week, an MIT alumnus came to give a presentation about her work with the Chlorox company and how they now produce a liquid cleaner that is, unlike normal bleach, environment-friendly. The brand is called "GREEN WORKS".
And guess what...
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/26/business/businessspecial2/26cleanser.html?_r=4&sq=clorox&st=nyt&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&scp=2&adxnnlx=1206648443-kk8AzHJxcoBzwHHkZi7eCQ
The product appears in the NY Times, and the person who gave the presentation is in it too (her name is Laura Shinmin. This is JUST COOL.
*I just had a phone interview with Cummins Inc. This is similar to last year. An MIT alumnus spotted my resume online and got interested in me... and then called me. I really hope that I can get an internship this summer. As of now, I am really surrendering everything to God because I know He has been faithful and will always be. I didn't even expect anything for summer yet and there it was a call from Cummins. Thank God for that.*
